Work has started on the first phase of new homes which are set for completion later in 2017

Construction work has started on the first phase of Holburne Park, with independent local contractor Mi-space being appointed to build out the first phase of 61 homes.

The construction firm is focusing initially on the infrastructure works, which include installing drainage, building new roads and laying foundations.

In the next few weeks, the site will change significantly as the first homes begin to take shape above ground, with work expected to start on the structural block work and timber frame construction.

Phase one will consist of a mixture of two to six-bedroom terraced houses and apartments set among landscaped, tree-lined grounds.

The first homes are anticipated to be complete and ready for their new owners to move into later next year, an important step in the transformation of this former MOD site into a thriving new community.
