Bath is a magnet for Londoners, says The Daily Telegraph

The spotlight is back on the Bath housing market after a recent article in The Daily Telegraph, which explains that more Londoners than ever are moving to the city.

Its excellent schools, small-town feel and great cultural scene are driving people to Bath and Holburne Park gets a specific mention as one of only a few new homes developments which are helping to meet this rising demand.

Luke Brady of Savills, which is marketing Holburne Park, says in the article:

“Bath is a nicely manageable size. It only takes 20 minutes to walk from one side of the city to the other, so you can be very close to schools, universities, theatres, the rugby club – in fact, it’s more like a large village.”

The statistics back this up. One report shows that buyers from London now account for 25.1 per cent of the Bath market, up from 17.6 per cent in 2007.

Luke goes on to say that Bath is proving a popular choice over nearby Bristol because “Londoners don’t want to swap one city for another and when weighing up Bristol, Cheltenham or Bath for a move, good state and private schooling is the big driver for Bath.”

This is Holburne Park’s second appearance in The Daily Telegraph in recent months. In May, they wrote about how the development’s classical appeal with a modern twist is proving to be a winning combination for house buyers.
